Montkai comes from two places. Mont: mountain. Permanence, strength. Kai: water in Hawaiian. Fluidity, connection.
It’s the tension the brand is built on: sentiment without sentimentality. A heart becomes an EKG. Meaning that’s coded, not announced. What’s permanent isn’t what a luxury house tells you matters—it’s your story, made physical.

I started Montkai because I wanted jewelry with materials that matter, design with restraint, and meaningful personalization.
I spent nearly a decade working in global fashion, working across merchandising, marketing, and finance. When I turned that experience toward jewelry, I realized I wanted to make a small number of things exceptionally well—pieces that don’t need to announce themselves because they already mean something.
